YAMEY ("YAMEY," "we," "us," or "our") operates the YAMEY mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. By using YAMEY, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

• Account information — your email address, display name, and profile photo, collected when you sign up via Apple, Google, or email/password.
• Preferences — cuisine preferences you select during onboarding or in Settings.
• Saved content — restaurants you like, save, pass on, or organize into custom lists.

Information collected automatically

• Location data — your device's GPS coordinates, used only to find restaurants near you. See the dedicated Location Data section below for full detail.
• Usage data — your swipe activity (likes, passes, saves), which restaurants you view, and which you navigate to via "Go Now." This builds your in-app taste profile.
• Device and diagnostic data — device type, OS version, app version, and crash logs, used to fix bugs and improve performance.

Information we do not collect

• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• We do not track your location in the background when the App is closed.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

How We Use Your Information

• To show you restaurants and dishes near your current location.
• To build and refine your personal taste profile based on your swipe history.
• To let you save, organize, and revisit restaurants you're interested in.
• To process YAMEY Pro subscription purchases and verify your active entitlement.
• To send you optional notifications (e.g. about saved restaurants nearby), if you've enabled them.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the App, and to diagnose technical issues.

Third-Party Services

YAMEY relies on the following third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy practices, linked below.

We do not currently use third-party advertising networks. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Location Data

YAMEY asks for your location only to find restaurants near you. Specifically:

• Location access uses the "While Using the App" permission only — we never request or use "Always" background location.
• Your raw GPS coordinates are used in memory to query nearby restaurants and are never written to our database.
• An approximate distance value (e.g. "0.8 km") may be stored alongside a restaurant you've swiped on, but this is calculated once and stored as a static number, not as ongoing location tracking.
• You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device's Settings. If denied, YAMEY will ask you to manually enter a city or neighborhood instead.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data, swipe history, and saved lists for as long as your account is active, so the App can continue learning your preferences. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your profile, swipe history, and saved lists from our systems within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

YAMEY is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for location access or notifications at any time.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the YAMEY application. By creating an account or using YAMEY, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

YAMEY Pro Subscriptions & Billing

• YAMEY Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered on a monthly or annual basis.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you originally agreed to, unless changed by Apple per their terms.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
• No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period; refunds are handled solely by Apple per their refund policy.

Acceptable Use

When using YAMEY, you agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the App's restaurant database at scale.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
• Impersonate another person or provide false account information.
• Use automated means (bots, scripts) to interact with the App.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Restaurant information, photos, ratings, hours, and pricing are sourced from third parties (including Google Places) and may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. YAMEY does not guarantee the accuracy of any restaurant listing and is not responsible for your experience at any restaurant shown in the App.

YAMEY is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, YAMEY and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
